Born & raised in the hustle & bustle of Jakarta, Indonesia, Alicia grew up in a loving family of entrepreneurs who always encourages her to excel in studies while allowing room to explore things that bring her joy. She began exercising her creative hands at her house from the tender age of 3, as shown by walls full of paintings made of Mom's make up, semi-distressed curtains and textbooks full of sketches.

Driven by her innate curiosity for numerous fields of interest, Alicia spent her teenage years balancing both worlds as a Science Olympiad and amateur midnight sketcher. She embarked on a journey to Boston, United States as a Biochemistry major at Boston University, only to realize that her affinity towards Design is what she wants to pursue as a career. This was also the time when she met her partner for life, Rafael, as he was a Graduate student at Boston University School of Medicine. They spent a lot of late night exam weeks together, and enjoyed each other’s company despite completely unrelated fields of studies. His methodical approach to life accompanied by always kind demeanor finally caught Alicia's heart, in contrary to her more artistic, big idea spirit. (Not to forget his arsenal of corny jokes.) After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Operations, Alicia decided to begin a new adventure in design, and later graduated top of the Class with Masters in Interior Architecture from New England School of Art & Design.

Today, Alicia is an Interior Designer in Boston, where she dedicates her professional career working on some of Northeast America’s largest & ground-breaking Residential and Mixed-use developments. While finding Midcentury Modern gems always kicks Alicia into high gear, there’s nothing more she loves to spend her free time than sketching, baking, and tinkering with LEGO Bricks - but most of all to cook, eat & travel with Raf.

Born into a family of doctors, Rafael spent the majority of his childhood in the island of Sumatera, Indonesia in addition to growing up in central Java for several years. Studious by nature, Raf boasts that his favorite book growing up was a set of Encyclopedias that his grandfather gifted to him. He lives and breathes Science to the full extent, so much that he's willing to forgo his childhood dream as a General Contractor and pursue Science for college.

Raf embarked his journey to the United States as an ESL student at Boston, only to find himself later landing as a Biology major at Suffolk University and finishing the program with Dean’s Honor. Having developed interest in Medical Science, Raf continued his studies in Clinical Investigation at Boston University’s Graduate School of Medicine - a period of his life when he met ‘a girl in red BU hoodie’ at an Indonesian Students’ Welcoming Party. Bonded with interests in good food, drinks and many things Japanese, and intrigued with Alicia’s different background, he knew from the first time they met that things were going to be special on his friendship with Alicia. It is also her unique breadth of knowledge, relentless nature, and ultimately genuine heart that sealed the deal for Raf! (Not to mention the quirks - it's a whole package deal.)

He later graduated from the program with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Investigation and began his professional career in Medical Research field. Today, Rafael is a Healthcare Research Data Analyst at global data, insights & innovation firm Clarivate, where he gains intelligence on emerging pharmaceutical trends & drug development particularly within the Rare & Infectious Disease sector. Despite his highly technical job, Raf spends most of his pastime tinkering with gadgets, polishing his photography skills, and most of all cooking & trying out new places to eat with Alicia.
